Opportunity
Small business is not a trend.
There will always be small entrepreneurs. That’s the only way to start! Big enterprises are starting to invest. Microsoft added Skype for business in 2011 and LinkedIn in 2016, Facebook bought WhatsApp in 2014 and Apple released Facetime Conference calling in 2018.
Samsung’s vision for entry into the small business communication space is to create a suite of products that help a small business thrive. The Samsung TwentyFour app would give the business owner the ability to create and manage a company auto attendant. Samsung is looking to create an ecosystem that helps micro-businesses thrive, while at the same time providing visibility and insight into who they are helping.
The Impact
Meet Josephine.
Joe owns a small bicycle shop in New York. She worries about missing calls, missing business, and looking unprofessional. She has a small team that isn’t always able to field calls while they are in the repair shop or upfront with customers. With an auto-attendant, Joe can direct callers to static recordings like business hours, an available team member with a simultaneous hunt group, or even direct callers to a specific team member without having to field the calls herself. She’s also able to have the auto attendant working for her even after-hours and holidays; providing her customers with information and access to voicemail even when the shop is closed. The increased professionalism and customer satisfaction are helping her business & brand grow.
