This concept explores a way to make bill-splitting quick, transparent, and fair — so the focus stays on connection, not calculation.

SOLUTION

A mobile app that streamlines group payments by scanning restaurant receipts and allowing guests to split costs in just a few taps. The goal: remove the friction from shared dining experiences and bring a little more joy back to the table.

Capture the Receipt
The host snaps a photo of the restaurant receipt. The app uses image recognition to identify and transcribe each line item — food, drinks, and extras.

Assign the Items
Once parsed, the host can assign items to each guest. There are two ways to split:

• Evenly: Divide the total equally among the group.
• By Item: Assign specific dishes to each guest for an exact total.

Shared dishes? No problem — items can be split between multiple guests.

Add a Tip
The host sets the desired tip percentage. The app automatically distributes it evenly unless customized otherwise.

Send and Settle
Guests receive a notification detailing their share. Payments can be made directly through the app or by connecting third-party options like PayPal, Venmo, or Apple Pay.

The host can track who’s paid and send friendly reminders to anyone who hasn’t. Whether people pay on the spot or the next day, everyone leaves knowing their portion was fair — no awkward math, no awkward money talks.
